Bombarded with photos!!

Area not too far from our house where we went on a little hike. I sure do love the state we live in. So thankful to be here.

fun with the chickens! These are backwards so these are when the chickens are about a month old. They have been quite the entertainment. We are excited for eggs mid summer. Hopefully they are not traumatized by all the attention!

Here is Alexa at Kellan's 6th birthday party and her first time ice skating. She did a wonderful job getting out there. She ended up being sad and I found out later some boys that were there told her she was a stupid skater who didn't know how to skate. Wish I had known earlier so I could have pumped her up to respond :) We had a really good time.

This is the little hike by our place. The kids love going on adventures. They had fun throwing rocks in the water. I really enjoy the fact that they like to be outside and explore.

One of Alexa's performances. She does this very often, this time there was a mirror in the living room we hadn't hung up yet, so she was focused on watching herself in the mirror. She make up her own moves and her own songs. It is pretty funny. I need to post a video on here so you all can enjoy her creativity. She even did a routine with an umbrella that could have been very dangerous as it included throwing it up in the air and attemping to catch it, unsuccessfully :) too funny

Milo loves to play any kind of ball, here he and Bubbe are playing soccer in the backyard. I wonder what sport he will like the best, right now it is, baseball, basketball and soccer. He is pretty good for being 2 years old. He is batting with his left hand, and shoots and throws with his right hand. Papa is very excited about him batting left! Bubbe has been here this winter watching Milo for us. She has been such a blessing and a HUGE help. We call her Cinderella.
Alexa's kindergarten class

Chicks. They are quite the hit at this size. Milo doesn't really like to hold them, but really liked to have them on his lap.

Fun times with Dad.
Alexa at a gymnastics birthday party, she got up on the vault which you can see in the rt of the picture and did a flip. I was very surprised, she just decided to do it on her own. Which made it more fun as I was expecting her to jump.

This is Rosie, there is also Diamond, Ariel, Jasmine, Winter Snow, and Sugar Lips. Although now that they are about 2 months old I can't tell them apart anymore.
buying the chicks

Milo helping cook at the old house before we moved. He likes to make eggs and help with veges.
Big Sister reading to her brother. So fun!!

So, I have been into going to Hip Hop classes and having a ball. This night, we went out to a bar in town that was being rented out specifically for our hiphop, we had a great time. Jeff calls it hiphop line dancing. He thinks that he can do it. Which is fun. Love having my husband come participate in things I enjoy doing.

So we are getting settled into our new home and we love it. It is nice to have an office upstairs for the first time in 10 years and a guest room. It is great. We are so thankful. We are now landlords, so we hope that goes well. Of course, the 2nd month in someone is already late on rent, hopefully this is not a sign of what is to happen.

I hope to take some photos here of the house soon. Can't seem to get it all done.

I have to mention a few of Alexa's comments lately, before I forget.

I was driving Alexa home from dance class and was trying to get her to call Ammy and Papa as they were wanting to talk to her. She told me, "no, I'm doing business and that is a matter of fact."

When asking her about another kindergarten teacher she said,"she's complicated..........what's complicated?"

She is too funny. She is also becoming quite the writer. She has a wonderful imagination and it is fun to watch it come out on paper.

Packing is fun for a 2 year old

He would run and dive into the papers. It was too funny. I am posting backwards, as I just didn't get it all done. I am working on getting photos of the new place, but in the mean time I am going to add a few from packing. Wow, what a crazy time. I thought we would not get done in time, and here we are at our new house already. Now we need to get the other one ready to rent and again I am questioning whether we will get done in time......
We were so fortunate to have so many friends and family help us pack, paint, move and organize it has been a huge blessing! Sometimes you don't know how many people are there to help until they all show up. Wonderful!
On to a new chapter in the Kenna family.

Sad and Funny

Seems like the fox likes to visit when we are at church. I was looking out the window and saw the swiper fox and yelled. Jeff went outside and we could not find the chickens. There were feathers everywhere. We found one hen hiding. The other was gone (at least the fox took her this time) This angers Jeff beyond belief. He decided that he was going to go look for the fox. So off he went sprinting down the street, SCREAMING, "get back here". He had no form of weapon, just was running and yelling. I had to chuckle at this, as I was wondering what he thought he was going to do and if he really thought the fox would stop and come back. He did not catch the fox. He went on a mission to find the remains of the chicken. Alexa was with me in the back, she says,"that damn fox" I told her that is not a good thing to say, she says,"well he is a damn fox!" (agreed) I later notice my neighbor looking quizzically down the street, then going back inside. A few minutes later I see his wife and daughters out and they all are standing there looking down the street with a strange looks on their faces. I was wondering what Jeff was doing, as I assumed they were looking at him. I poked my head out and Liz asked," Is Jeff OK?" I asked,"why?" Liz says," well, he is screaming at the sewer and throwing rocks" I about peed my pants. Jeff told me he saw the fox in the sewer and was trying to scare him into not coming back. This whole ordeal, made loosing the chicken much easier.

We have one lone hen and we have found her a home, so that she is not alone. We will try our hand at chickens in the spring time.

House

Well we have made an offer on a house and here it is.

We are excited to see what happens. We are set to close on January 28th. It will nice to have an office upstairs and a guest room ready! The kids are starting to say they are excited, but really don't care so much at this point. They are more interested in the concept of us packing EVERYTHING and this house being empty. Even the soap?

Jeff and I have begun to pack and we have started in the basement. Jeff does the packing and I read the memorabilia that I find out loud and we reminisce. It has been fun. I can not believe all the stuff I keep thinking that one day I will be able to do it. Some of which I will and am looking forward to. Among the items that I have found are all my jewelry items (I do this, but vary rarely), soap for soap making, a loom with 3 inches finished from 6 years ago, a toothbrush rug started (about done, but NOT done), quilling, cross stich, a chunk of knitted material, lots and lots of scrapbook stuff and all my lotions and herbal stuff. Tried real hard to purge but was convinced myself that I will use it again so I should keep it, makes me laugh to type it out. Idid purge the loom (haven't used it in 6 yrs, won't use it now) the soap, and several glass containers. So that is a plus.

Jeff was cleaning out the garage and we were going through a box of hats, gloves, scarves etc. In all seriousness he looked at me and said,"I think we are pack rats" I was thinking to myself "are you just noticing this?" I said,"yessss...." and he said," Well, I am concerned!" I am still laughing out loud about it.

New chapter in our lives, here we come.

14 Days until Christmas!

I can not believe how fast this year has gone. We have 14 days until Christmas. What a wonderful time to celebrate the birth of our Savior. I am in awe of this gift we have been given. I can not even wrap my mind around giving up my son for people, let alone a bunch of sinners.I need to focus on the reason for the season, especially when I start to think that I have nothing done. I haven't done one bit of shopping, no Christmas letter, no family photo, no baking, nothing.... not yet, I still have 14 days :)

I am looking forward to getting out the flour, sugar, eggs and spices to make goodies with my little girl (who is growing up so very fast). I look forward to going through all my photos on snapfish and reminiscing about this past year. Looking for my favorite photos, of which there are so many. I look forward to attempting to take a family photo so I can send out a card. I look forward to time with family and enjoying each others company. I look forward to hearing Christmas music and feeling the tears well up in my eyes as I think of the birth of Jesus. I look forward to lighting candles at church on Christmas Eve.

We are blessed. It seems like during the holiday season we forget why we are celebrating. This year I want to remain focused on the things that are important to me: the birth of Jesus, my husband, my children, my family. I will attempt not to get stressed out about the things I am behind on and remember why we celebrate this holiday. Happy Birthday Jesus!

Watch the toe MOM!

Anytime I get close to Lexa she says,"Watch the toe Mom!, Watch the toe Mom!" Here are some photos.

And here is the nail in the ziplock! Just what everyone wanted to see.
