Sunscape Ixtapa |
Holding the sun on our last night there. |
The waves here on the Pacific coast side were so much bigger than on the other side of Mexico. So big that I lost my prescription sunglasses and my toe ring that I have had for over 25 years. My Dad didn't think that was too big of a problem, as he has given me grief about that ring for years. He lost his sunglasses too. It was crazy! I was thankful I thought to bring the kids life jackets. Jeff LOVED the big waves.
Lexa wanted to get her hair braided. We found Tanya who could brain so fast, the whole thing took about 30 minutes. As you can see on the below photo she was getting more and more tired as the time went on. I thought she was going to fall right asleep. I really did enjoy the braids, as her hair was not tangled at all. We had to remember to put sunscreen on the parts.
Here is the after math once we got home. I decided I would take it out before school and it took me 2 hours, and I still didn't get it all out. So she went to school in different phases of undone. She thought it was pretty cool
My folks had a great time. Dad was generous enough to pay for the kids to come so we all could go. This was their first time to Mexico and to an all inclusive resort. We had such a good time together!
Here are the boys and their pink panthers. Alexa would swim over to the swim up bar and order her drink with "no alcohol" It was pretty funny.
One of the many beautiful sunsets. Praise God! |
Alexa got to go swim with the dolphins. Jeff was so frustrated with the price and that we could not take our own photos. We of course could buy them for $8 piece. Jeff did sneak the camera in and take photos from sitting on the bench next to him, but they were very far away. It was a fun memory. Here she is with 2 dolphins pushing her feet as she flies across the water. It was fun to watch. She had a fun time!
We went to an island to go snorkeling and there was a guy with fish so here is Alexa holding the fish, too funny.
There was a kids club here at the resort. They had this bungee trampoline. Alexa had a fun time on that. She was a bit upset that I didn't capture her flip. Now I can't remember if she really did one or not. The kids club was great with different activities. Toward the end of our time in Mexico, I asked Alexa to come swim with me she said, "Mom, I will be with you until I die, I only get to be a kids club a little longer" Guess that speaks highly of the program
