Spring Break Mexico!

We had a wonderful time over spring break in Ixtapa Mexico. My folks and the kids all got to come. We had a fun surprise a few days in when the Diehl family joined us. This here below is the view from our balcony. So much fun!
Sunscape Ixtapa
Holding the sun on our last night there.

The waves here on the Pacific coast side were so much bigger than on the other side of Mexico. So big that I lost my prescription sunglasses and my toe ring that I have had for over 25 years. My Dad didn't think that was too big of a problem, as he has given me grief about that ring for years. He lost his sunglasses too. It was crazy! I was thankful I thought to bring the kids life jackets. Jeff LOVED the big waves.

Lexa wanted to get her hair braided. We found Tanya who could brain so fast, the whole thing took about 30 minutes. As you can see on the below photo she was getting more and more tired as the time went on. I thought she was going to fall right asleep. I really did enjoy the braids, as her hair was not tangled at all. We had to remember to put sunscreen on the parts.
Here is the after math once we got home. I decided I would take it out before school and it took me 2 hours, and I still didn't get it all out. So she went to school in different phases of undone. She thought it was pretty cool

My folks had a great time. Dad was generous enough to pay for the kids to come so we all could go. This was their first time to Mexico and to an all inclusive resort. We had such a good time together!

Here are the boys and their pink panthers. Alexa would swim over to the swim up bar and order her drink with "no alcohol" It was pretty funny.

One of the many beautiful sunsets. Praise God!

Alexa got to go swim with the dolphins. Jeff was so frustrated with the price and that we could not take our own photos. We of course could buy them for $8 piece. Jeff did sneak the camera in and take photos from sitting on the bench next to him, but they were very far away. It was a fun memory. Here she is with 2 dolphins pushing her feet as she flies across the water. It was fun to watch. She had a fun time!
We went to an island to go snorkeling and there was a guy with fish so here is Alexa holding the fish, too funny.

Love this photo of Father and Son. Too darn cute. So thankful for my family.

There was a kids club here at the resort. They had this bungee trampoline. Alexa had a fun time on that. She was a bit upset that I didn't capture her flip. Now I can't remember if she really did one or not. The kids club was great with different activities. Toward the end of our time in Mexico, I asked Alexa to come swim with me she said, "Mom, I will be with you until I die, I only get to be a kids club a little longer" Guess that speaks highly of the program

My sweet kids at sunset on the beach, so fun!

Fun times with Ammy in the pool, both in their element.

Jeff was very excited to try some sun photos as you can see.
Dad and Milo having fun on the slides.

happy vacation, happy family

Alexa's 1st grade talent show

Alexa participated in her first talent show with her friend Emma. They did a dance routine to "Queen of the Waves" which is a Barbie deal. So much for saying ,"never". I have learned that I should not have said this. I have never really been a fan of Barbie, but here I am letting her dance to a Barbie song. Oh well. It was very cute

Globetrotters!

This girl here "TNT" is the main reason Dad bought us all tickets to see the Globetrotters. In hopes that Lexa will start to become interested in basketball. :) Alexa really enjoyed getting the autographs of the players.

Flip, Globie and the kids, this was all before the game. These two are pretty funny. Very entertaining.

Milo working on many of the new tricks he learned. When we got home he worked on his backwards shot. After Jeff lowed the hoop he actually made the backward shot. Once.

Lexa has been working on sitting down dribbling.

Great family time. We loved it and would go again! Thanks Dad

Monster Trucks!

This here is Milo riding in a monster truck at the end of the night.

I got tickets for a guys night out. Dad, Jeff and Milo went to see the monster trucks. Milo was very excited and was interested the entire night. They did not get home until after 11pm, and Milo was wide awake wanting to tell me all about it. We got a tip that we should buy the monster trucks at Target as they are triple the price at the show, so Milo was happy about that too!

As the guys did their thing, Mom, Alexa and I went for pedicures, lunch and to paint ceramics. We had a great time too. Although somehow I have no photos of our girl time together.

Milo is playing football

Milo started playing flag football at the Edge. He loves it. It is too funny to watch. Mostly it is drills they do and some times they actually put on the flags. He is having such fun. After the first session he wanted to try soccer, but when time came to go he decided to change back to football. He has his 3 point stance down and is quite the kicker. Jeff and I tease that maybe he is our retirement ticket, kicker and all. HAHA

I just love watching him run around, he gets so excited!
